A limitation of this study was that it did not investigate the potential effects of omeprazole on IPE through CYP2C19 inhibition or change in gastric pH, although this is not expected. Another limitation was the relatively short study duration, given the potentially long duration of use of either one of the study drugs alone or when used concomitantly, although typically, drug–drug interaction studies are relatively short in duration.
